The Department of Justice regulates electrical, gasfitting and plumbing licences in Tasmania.
In order to work as a plumber in Tasmania, you must enter into an apprenticeship or plumbing training under a qualified licensed plumber, using a provisional licence before you may obtain a plumbing licence. Upon achievement of a Certificate III in Plumbing or a satisfactory Statement of Results obtained from an RTO, you may apply for a plumber licence.
