The Certificate II in Salon Assistant is a preparatory qualification which equips the individual with a defined, limited range of basic knowledge and skills required in a client services role in hairdressing salons. The individual will work under direct supervision and guidance of hairdressers. The qualification sets the pathway for further training and does not provide the outcome as a hairdresser.
