Construction

Estimators: residential estimators are responsible for determining the total cost of a construction project. This year has seen an increase in home builds and subsequently there is a growing demand for estimators who can provide production or sales estimates for home builders.

Site supervisors: with a renewed focus on health and safety there is growing demand for site supervisors with experience in safety management. In particular those who can create a safety management plan and supervise implementation and insurance compliance.

Commercial site managers: Specifically site managers who have experience working on project management for construction projects for aged care, education and child care facilities.

Office Support

Assistants: there is increasing demand for flexible and adaptable office assistance who have broad all-rounder experience and can support and manage the running of offices during periods of organisational transition.

Executive Assistants: more executive teams are bringing on EA’s to reduce workload and introduce more efficient practices within leadership teams.

Project support officers: particularly within government agencies. If you have exceptionally strong organisational skills and are experienced in setting and maintaining calendars and meeting agendas, these opportunities are for you.

Hospitality

Chefs: with limited migration into the country there is a huge demand for chefs around Australia. Some hospitality venues are offering significantly higher than average salaries for qualified chefs.

Restaurant Managers: Similar to chefs there is a serious lack of qualified hospitality managers available in Australia due to border and immigration restrictions. If you have management experience consider getting your experience certified to take advantage of these roles.

Retail

Merchandise Planners: there is high demand in all sectors including FMCG, luxury and big box for planners with experience.

Sales Assistants: particularly those with experience in the luxury market and with Mandarin language skills.

Trades &labour

Plasterers: high demand for skilled plasterers with experience in commercial and residential new builds and refurbishment.

Plumbers: Specifically plumbers who are trade qualified with gas fitting dual trade and TMV and Backflow endorsement.
