To successfully complete this qualification through RPL, you’ll need to demonstrate your existing skills and knowledge across 19 nationally recognised units (11 core and 8 electives). These units reflect the typical competencies required of experienced professionals in residential and commercial construction management, including:

Applying building codes, standards and structural principles to Class 1–10 constructions
Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and specifications
Preparing sketches, cost estimates, tenders and contracts
Planning and managing onsite construction work, communication, and WHS
Supervising site surveys, set-out procedures, and waste minimisation
Applying project quality and energy efficiency principles to meet modern building demands

As this is an RPL pathway, there is no formal training. Instead, you’ll provide evidence of your prior learning and on-the-job experience. Assessment methods may include portfolio submissions, practical demonstrations, interviews and written responses to verify your competence and industry readiness.
