      A traditional apprenticeship pathway usually takes around 3–4 years to complete. However, if you already have significant experience, you may be able to fast-track your certificate 3 carpentry through carpentry RPL, which can reduce the timeframe to just weeks.

      Most carpenters complete a Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC30220). This nationally recognised carpentry certificate is the minimum requirement for becoming a licensed carpenter and working independently in the trade.
