A Diploma of Fitness equips you with the necessary knowledge and skills required to provide specialised fitness training functions in a wide range of settings. Some of the functions you would provide include working with medical and allied health professionals in open spaces, community facilities, aquatic and fitness facilities. With this level of qualification, the exercise trainer will provide fitness training to individuals or groups with special exercise needs, which may include children or adults with chronic conditions.
You will possess the skills and knowledge to administer, evaluate and provide modifications - within the agreed scope of progression - to fitness prescriptions provided by medical health professionals for clients with specific conditions. They will monitor client progress, and apply anatomical and physiological knowledge in collaboration with medical professionals.
