We’ll conduct a free skills check that evaluates your existing building and construction experience. We’ll begin by assigning a consultant to your case based on your expertise and qualifications. Our consultant will guide you through the process, and if you’re determined suitable, you’ll need to get documents to support your claims.
Supporting evidence may include:
A resume outlining your construction experience
Photos or videos of work completed
Job descriptions or task lists
Detailed information about construction activities you’ve performed
References from supervisors or employers
Practical tasks to illustrate your skills.
We compile your evidence into a portfolio that shows you’ve worked in building and construction for a respectable amount of time and can perform the required tasks.
Based on this proof, we’ll put you in touch with one of our partner RTOs. An RTO assessor will review your portfolio and confirm whether you meet the competency requirements.
Certification timeframes vary, but many candidates complete RPL within 4 – 6 weeks depending on the evidence provided.
